The laboratory carries out new energy technology research with the strategic layout of "136", takes new energy as the core, and establishes three R&D centers of renewable energy, hydrogen energy storage and low-carbon industrial system. There are six main directions of attack, such as high-efficiency conversion of solar and electricity, biomass energy and materials, hydrogen energy "production-storage-use" technology, new batteries and large-scale energy storage, low-carbon industry and energy use reform, and multi-energy complementary smart energy system.
