From August 4th to 6th, the International Chemical Engineering Frontier Forum and the 17th Global Chinese Chemical Engineering Scholars Association Annual Meeting Youth Scholar Forum were grandly held at the Longzihu Campus of Henan University. The forum was hosted by the Global Chinese Chemical Scholars Association, undertaken by Henan University, and co sponsored by the Institute of Process Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Longzihu New Energy Laboratory. Zhang Suojiang, academician of the CAS Member, president of Henan University, Sun Lili, academician of the CAE Member, Sinopec Refining and Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd., Zhu Jingxu, academician of the Royal Canadian Academy of Sciences, academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, president of the Global Chinese Chemical Scholars Association, Chen Guohua, academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, chairman of the Academic Committee of the Global Chinese Chemical Scholars Seminar, Qiao Liang, vice president of Henan University, and Chen Xuebo, academic vice president, as well as outstanding young scholars from home and abroad, gathered together to explore cutting-edge scientific and technological breakthroughs in the chemical industry, and talk about the path of growth and innovative development of young talents.

　　This forum coincides with the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the Chinese Chemical Youth Scholars Forum and is also the first time it has been held in Henan. The forum covers interdisciplinary fields such as reaction engineering, process intensification, advanced catalysis, chemical safety, and intelligent design. It is committed to building a global platform for young Chinese scholars to exchange ideas, stimulate their original spirit, research aspirations, and patriotism, and gather wisdom and momentum for cutting-edge innovation and green low-carbon development in the chemical industry.
